B.S. (1994) and PhD (1999) in Chemistry from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Post-doctorate in hydrocarbon chemistry with Profs. G. K. Surya Prakash and George Olah, at the Loker Hydrocarbon Research Institute, University of Southern California (2000-2001). Affiliated member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (2008-2012) and Professor at Institute of Chemistry of Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Prizes: Young Scientist Award TWAS-ROLAC, Chemistry, 2009. Has experience in Chemistry, focusing on Physical-Organic Chemistry, acting on the following subjects: nanotechnology, reticular chemistry, porous materials, carbocation, hydrocarbon, reticular chemistry, superacids, carbonium ions, electrophilic aromatic substitution, natural gas hydrates and flow assurance.
